SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced its inaugural Dallas, Texas information security training event taking place August 8-13. SANS Dallas 2016 will feature hands-on immersion style security training courses covering core fundamentals, penetration testing, digital forensics, and security management. Bonus evening discussions will tackle some of today's most pressing security issues including evolving threats and mobile device security with Chris Crowley.

"The SANS Top 8 Mobile Device Security Steps are intended to provide clear, actionable guidance to companies trying to make sense of mobile device deployments, including BYOD. I'll talk through fundamental defensive steps and discuss current threats to the devices. After one hour, you'll walk away with a clearer picture of what you need to do to protect data on mobile devices," stated Chris Crowley, security expert and SANS Instructor.

SANS Dallas 2016 features six day courses taught by real-world practitioners. In addition to Crowley's bonus evening discussion, he will also teach the SEC504: Hacker Tools, Techniques, Exploits and Incident Handling course. For those interested in management-level courses, SANS will offer its popular MGT414: SANS Training Program for CISSP(R) Certification course.
