Last chance to register for SANS London this summer

SANS London Summer 2016, the renowned security training event, remains open for registration. Taking place in July, SANS London Summer will offer 15 cyber security training courses from SANS' Training Curriculum across Digital Forensics and Incident Response, Cyber Defence, Penetration Testing and Audit.

Two courses at SANS London Summer will not run in Europe again this year: SEC617 wireless ethical hacking and SEC506 Securing Linux/Unix, with the latter being taught in London by its author Hal Pomeranz, SANS Faculty Fellow and creator of the SANS Linux/Unix Security track. Pomeranz has consulted on cases ranging from intellectual property theft, to employee sabotage, to organised cybercrime and malicious software infrastructures including work with law enforcement agencies in the US and Europe and global corporations.

Larry Pesce, a Senior Security Analyst with InGuardians and co-host of the popular PaulDotCom Security Weekly podcast, will be teaching the SEC617: Wireless Ethical Hacking, Penetration Testing, and Defenses course. With the rise of the Internet of Things, the course has been expanded to include technologies like ZigBee and Z-Wave. Additional courses during SANS London 2016 include:

  • SEC660: Advanced Penetration Testing, Exploit Writing, and Ethical Hacking
  • FOR508: Advanced Digital Forensics and Incident Response
  • FOR572: Advanced Network Forensics and Analysis

Most of the courses are aligned to GIAC certifications and examination attempts are available at a discounted rate when booked with training. This cyber security training event runs from 9th to the 18th July and takes place at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London's West End.
