SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced SANS Las Vegas 2016 taking place January 9 - 14, 2016. This new information security training event will feature hands-on, immersion-style security training courses in IT security, digital forensics, security management and ICS/SCADA. Course content will offer actionable steps attendees can take to fend off the most complex attacks.

"During a targeted attack, organizations need a top-notch incident response armed with the critical intelligence necessary to understand how adversaries operate and to combat the threat. FOR578: Cyber Threat Intelligence will train individuals and teams to detect, scope, and select resilient courses of action in response to such intrusions and data breaches," said Mike Cloppert, SANS Instructor. "The information provided in this course will give network defenders information superiority that can be used to reduce an adversary's likelihood of success with each subsequent intrusion attempt."

Attendees of SANS Las Vegas have the opportunity to attend bonus evening sessions which will cover some of the most complex cyber security issues facing organizations today. Including among the evening talks are Evolving Threats & Defenses, Assessing, Testing and Breaking Security Products, Why you Need Continuous Monitoring, and How to bring Advanced Persistent Trickery to the fight against Advanced Persistent Threats.
