SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced it will offer its new management course designed to help InfoSec professionals advance their careers at SANS San Francisco 2015 taking place November 30-December 5. The SANS MGT514: IT Security Strategic Planning, Policy and Leadership course taught by Frank Kim addresses the growing need for next generation IT security leaders and offers actionable steps for how to become one.

"With cyber security gaining more visibility at the CIO, CEO and board level, it is clear the next generation of IT security leaders need to become security business leaders. This means they must learn how to build plans for not just technical staff, but the executive level as well. Otherwise it will become increasing difficult to get the funding and buy-in IT security needs," said Frank Kim, CISO of the SANS Institute. "Join me as I share actionable steps InfoSec professionals can take to successfully make the move to security business leader, including how to build and execute on their strategic plans."

SANS San Francisco will feature hands-on immersion style training courses for InfoSec professionals at every level. Included among the courses offered will be SANS' popular SEC301: Intro to Information Security, SEC401: Security Essentials Bootcamp Style, and more advanced courses such as SEC760: Advanced Exploit Development for Penetration Testers.
