SANS Institute to Offer World-Class Network Pen Testing and Computer Forensic Investigations Training at SANS Secure Canberra 2013

  • Canberra, AU
  • 13 February, 2013

SANS, along with their Australian training partner, Shearwater Solutions, today announced it is returning to Australia's Capital city for a new information security training event, SANS Secure Canberra 2013. Slated for 18-23 March, attendees will receive SANS' world-class information security training in Network Penetration Testing and Computer Forensics Investigations.

Ed Skoudis, author of SEC560: Network Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking, states "This course explains the inner workings of numerous tools and their use in effective network penetration testing and ethical hacking projects. "

Rob Lee, co-author of FOR408: Computer Forensic Investigations - Windows In-Depth, adds "SANS COMPUTER FORENSICS GRADUATE THWARTS BANK HEIST. Headlines similar to these are now a reality as former students have emailed me regularly about how they were able to use their digital forensic skills in very real situations. Graduates have directly contributed to solving some of the toughest cases out there because they learn properly how to conduct analysis and run investigations properly. Knowing that this course places the correct methodology and knowledge in the hands of responders who thwart the plans of criminals or foreign attacks brings me great comfort. "

SANS Secure Canberra 2013 will feature hand-on training with SANS Certified Instructors Pieter Danhieux and Jess Garcia. For more information on the training event including course overviews and faculty bios or to register, please visit: http://www.sans.org/info/123980
