Jerry Craft is a Security Consultant for Nth Generation Computing a 22 year old service provider in Southern California. In his role at Nth Generation, Jerry is responsible for executing internal, external audits, vulnerability and penetration tests. Overall he is responsible for assessing, designing and architecting security strategy for clients as they move to Private, Hybrid, and Public Clouds.
Jerry was previously the First Vice President and Information Security Officer for Farmers and Merchants Bank of Long Beach California for 12 years. In his tenure with Farmers and Merchants he endured several Blue Team attacks, enforced security policy, and educated the team regarding security.
As a leader at Farmers and Merchants, Jerry chaired the Fraud Committee which was responsible for reducing online, internal and external fraud. Jerry managed a team of security professionals responsible for ensuring the security of a 5 billion dollar enterprise with over 104 years of commitment to the community.
Currently Jerry holds three SANS certifications which are GPEN, GSEC and GCFE. He has a bachelors degree in Anthropology which he feels helps him understand the human interaction with security and systems.
Jerry is excited to be a mentor because he enjoys the interaction with students, and he loves to learn.
