Even as BYOD has taken hold in the enterprise, many 'perhaps even most 'workers still rely on desktop or notebook PCs to get work done.

Whether staff or contractors, these workers do mission-critical tasks that require them to access the enterprise network, data and applications 'often while working offsite or in potentially compromised locations.

For enterprise IT and security professionals, these workers represent a big logistics and budgetary challenge in trying to ensure that a variety of platforms are healthy and secure. At the same time, many companies are testing cloud-based services and applications, which have some drawbacks for large, distributed workforces.

This survey will look at the issues around securing a truly mobile workforce: one that relies on portable, yet secure, data and applications and how enterprise IT and security professionals are protecting such portable data and applications.

Join this webcast, featuring SANS instructor and industry expert Jacob Williams, to hear:

  • What enterprises do--or don't do--to secure worker's devices and systems
  • What kinds of apps and services these workers use and which are secure
  • How remote workers and others perceive cloud-based applications and services
  • Actionable advice based on this survey
