Summit Advisory Board 2019

The advisory board, made up of passionate volunteers who live and breathe security awareness, is a key factor in the continued success of the Summit. These individuals donate their time and expertise to help build the best event possible by reviewing CFP submissions, selecting and mentoring speakers, identifying workshop topics, and planning networking events. This group is a huge part of creating a fun, inspiring, interactive event where attendees learn as much from each other as they do the from the speakers and workshop presenters. Here's the dedicated group working on the 2019 Summit.


Neaka Lynn Balloge, NYU Langone Health

Neaka Lynn Balloge currently leads Security Awareness, Training, and Communications initiatives for NYU Langone Health, a large non-profit health system based in the metro NYC area. In her role, she is responsible for promoting secure cyber behaviors for approximately 60,000 clinicians, researchers, educators, and support staff across 4 hospitals and over 200 ambulatory locations. Prior to moving into security awareness, Neaka worked in the Human Capital service line at Deloitte Consulting in Los Angeles and was a Pat Cox Fellow in the European Parliament and British House of Lords. She has a master’s degree from Columbia University in Organizational Psychology and completed her undergraduate degree summa cum laude with highest honors at NYU. Neaka has also holds certifications in project management (PMP), cybersecurity (GISF), and awareness (CSAP). In her free time, she enjoys traveling, live music, and supporting Philly sports teams from a distance.


Cheryl Conley, Lockheed

Cheryl has had diverse roles at Lockheed, with a passion for education and awareness, enhancing security culture across the corporation. This includes the all-encompassing security education and awareness platform coined The I Campaign™, the mature, industry leading phishing program Progressive Awareness and Accountability, the recently deployed Cyber Crossroads portal, along with instructional design and teaching. She has been a regular presenter at the SANS Security Awareness Summits, and a member of the editorial board for the SANS monthly OUCH! newsletter. The SANS Institute named Cheryl among its 2014 Difference Makers, along with the Lockheed Martin Excellence in Leadership Award for solving complex challenges cyber security, and Catalyst Award Recognition in 2018. She holds a MS degree specializing in Information Security along with CISSP.


Meredith Howland, Fidelity Investments

Meredith Howland is a director in Fidelity Investments’ Cybersecurity Engagement and Awareness group. Meredith and team are tasked with strengthening Fidelity’s cybersecurity IQ by instilling a security mindset in each associate. While a relative newcomer to cybersecurity, Meredith has spent much of her career analyzing and identifying the best approaches to modify and transform human behavior. From her first career in theatre studying character motivation, to leading teams of HR benefits consultants, then enhancing customer service quality programs and working with user experience design groups on new product platforms, Meredith continues to crack the code of how to get people to act accordingly. Cybersecurity best practices are a unique challenge, however, Meredith loves researching and applying behavioral psychology and motivation theory to create engaging activities to educate associates on how to protect the company as well as themselves and their families. Phishing may be the hook, but Meredith is determined to find a holistic way to measure and raise everyone’s security IQ.


Molly McLain-Sterling, Medtronic

Molly McLain-Sterling has been with Medtronic, the world’s largest medical technology company, since 2007. She is currently the Manager of the Global Security Awareness Program, which focuses on supporting security initiatives and educating end users on the importance of physical security, cyber security, and product security. The program spans 100K+ staff in over 150 countries. Through her program, she has brought to fruition a number of large on-going initiatives including, phishing awareness and simulations, annual all-staff cyber training, and a global security awareness ambassador program. Molly currently serves on the H-ISAC – Cybersecurity Education and Awareness Committee and the SANS 2019 Security Awareness Summit Advisory Board. She previously served on the BoD, for three years, at Yellow Tree Theater and she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth.


Lisa Miglioratti, AVANGRID, Inc.

Lisa Miglioratti is a Program Manager of Cybersecurity & Privacy/Security Awareness for AVANGRID, a large Gas, Electric and Renewable energy provider in the United States. In her role, Lisa is responsible for the development and implementation of strategically significant cyber security awareness programs. One such program is the Business Security Liaison (Ambassador) Program. Now in its fourth year, boosts a team of over 50 ‘cyber-trained’ volunteers throughout AVANGRIDS various areas of business, country wide. The status of the Avangrid Business Security Liaison program is reported quarterly to the AVANGRID senior management team. Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge and past successes in the areas of Information Technology (IT) and IT network risk management to her role in cybersecurity. Lisa is a passionate supporter of ‘all things cyber’ and possesses that unique skill of communicating that passion in a ‘non-techie’ easy to understand way. In addition, Lisa participates in the development of critical infrastructure (grid) focused training initiatives and specific awareness activities. Lisa participates in a variety of industry conferences and committees.


Stephanie Pratt, Blackbaud

Stephanie Pratt is the Cyber Security Communications & Education Specialist at Blackbaud, the world’s leading cloud software company powering social good. She created “Cyber Aware,” the company’s first security awareness program in January 2018, which includes phishing, training, communications, change management, and monthly metrics. She attended her first SANS Security Summit and MGT433 in August 2018, which helped her kick off an ambitious and hugely successful Cyber Security Awareness Month. Before joining Blackbaud, Stephanie was the Non-Profit Nightingale at Bidr, event and fundraising software. She helped clients plan and run successful fundraising events and led the company’s sales and marketing efforts. She began her career as a TV reporter working for ABC stations in Oregon, South Carolina, New Hampshire, and Time Warner in New York. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College. Stephanie is married with two kids and lives in Charleston, SC. She is an active volunteer and fundraiser for many organizations including: her children’s schools, Girl Scouts, Charleston Youth Hockey Association, and the Junior League of Charleston.


Janna Sondenaa, Portland General Electric (PGE)

Janna has managed several different teams throughout her 30+ year tenure in the utility business, most recently taking on the role of Security Awareness Program Manager at PGE. Through her leadership, a new program was developed and launched this year as “SECURE it.,” a fully integrated security program driving awareness of, training in, and accountability for secure behaviors for all employees, contingent workers, and vendors in an industry which is consistently targeted. The program includes content module launches throughout the year, phishing campaigns, new employee tabletop escape rooms, rewards and recognition, focus on employee experience, access to education, and targeted training. The program has moved PGE on the SANS maturity model significantly in less than a year. In her free time, Janna enjoys hanging out with her chocolate lab Bella, volunteering as a mentor for women preparing to re-enter society post-incarceration, and fully appreciating living next door to Oregon’s wine country.


Maritsa Santiago, LexisNexis Risk Solutions

Maritsa Santiago is Senior Director, Information Security Awareness/Business Continuity Planning for LexisNexis Risk Solutions. In her role, Maritsa is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for cybersecurity training and education, incident management and business resiliency for the organization and its more than 8,000 employees around the globe.
Maritsa holds BA degree in Accounting and a MACC in Accountancy from the University of Georgia. She holds a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA, a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI, and an Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) certification from DRI International. Maritsa is based in Atlanta, GA.
