Everything's Hacked! What We Can Do To Help Secure Embedded Devices
- Jay Radcliffe
Smart Phones? Hacked. Insulin Pumps? Hacked. Smart Meters? Hacked. The growing trend in the computer security field is going after embedded devices. The result is a scary scenario of showing the insecurity of these devices that control our physical world. Making this nightmare even worse is that the manufacturers of these devices have little to no experience in security or vulnerabilities. This presentation will talk about what security researchers can do as well as what companies can do to address this problem.
The following bonus sessions are open to all paid attendees at no additional cost. There are many different types of events that fall into these categories:
- SANS@Night: Evening presentations given after day courses have ended. This category includes Keynotes.
- Special Events: SANS-hosted events and other non-technical recreational offerings. This category includes, but is not limited to, Receptions and Information Tables.
- Vendor: Events hosted by external vendor exhibitors.
