Unseen Signals: An SDR Tutorial!

Right now, all around you, countless radio signals are passing by unseen. Radio signals are everywhere. In our wireless, your Bluetooth, your vehicle remote. In this talk we pull back the covers and take a look at the world of radio signals. In addition to signals analysis and decoding, we'll also introduce you to GnuRadio, a phenomenally powerful Python-based package that allows you to easily model radio receivers and transmitters. You'll learn some basic RF theory and watch as we very quickly build very powerful radio receivers using GnuRadio and parts that cost about $20! As a final demonstration we will take a common piece of RF based technology and walk through not only signals analysis but then hack together our own transmitter to take over and spoof control signals to it!
The following bonus sessions are open to all paid attendees at no additional cost. There are many different types of events that fall into these categories:
