Defending Industrial Controls & Critical Infrastructure

  • Dean Parsons
  • Thursday, May 30th, 8:15pm - 9:15pm

Cyber threats are constantly multiplying and assuming new forms. Modern ICS (Industrial Control System) attacks are designed by skilled, financially motivated and supported adversaries. We've passed the point where cyber attacks only target and disrupt IT networks and business applications. Industrial Control Systems (i.e.: Electrical power grids, transportation systems, oil & gas pipelines, etc.) are now a significant target posing physical destruction to facilities and personnel safety risks. The talk briefs the audience on the current Industrial Control Systems threat landscape and highlights effective ways to do practical and effective ICS defense.
