If you are interested in presenting or participating on a panel, we’d be delighted to consider your practitioner-based case studies with real-world lessons. SANS Summits offer speakers the opportunity for exposure and recognition as industry leaders. If you have something substantive, challenging, and original to offer, you are encouraged to submit a proposal.

You will find it helpful to review videos of top presentations from previous SANS Summits to get an idea of the content and quality we're looking for.

You may also want to read this excellent article on writing proposals for infosec conferences, written by Katie Nickels.

  • Novel approaches for red teaming and purple teaming to help improve the state of an organization’s security
  • Short-format talks or panel participation from authors of tools
  • Advances in and success stories about red team/adversary emulation automation tools
  • Better, more efficient ways to discover, analyze, and remediate traditional vulnerabilities and attack techniques
  • Lessons learned from cyber defense and digital forensics that can help penetration testers provide more business value
  • New vulnerability assessment and management tools and techniques that can be applied at enterprise-wide scale
  • Challenges to existing assumptions and methodologies that might change the industry in a positive way
  • Practical advice for better managing vulnerabilities and conducting penetration tests to provide excellent business value
