Ready, Fire, Aim

  • Lee Whitfield
  • Tuesday, February 26th, 8:15pm - 9:15pm

The trend in digital forensics has long been to process as much data as possible, parsing all potential forensic artifacts up-front. In these instances, the investigation can start only after processing is complete. This means that with the increasing size of storage devices, many hours or days can pass before we have even the most preliminary of results. In this talk we will discuss creating an effective investigation plan and how doing so will help us to triage and prioritize digital evidence so that we can obtain results in minutes, not days.
