Avoiding Analysis Pitfalls Like It's 1949

  • Jake Williams
  • Sunday, August 25th, 7:15pm - 9:15pm

Many people talk about cyber threat intelligence (CTI) like itās a brand new subject area. They often pretend that we need to invent new methods from scratch to facilitate CTI analysis. Nothing could be farther from the truth. During World War II, Sherman Kent, the father or modern intelligence analysis created a nine-step analysis doctrine that the intelligence community has been using ever since. In this session, youāll learn about the different facets of Kent's Analysis Doctrine and how you can use this World War II "tech" to avoid mistakes and take your analysis to the next level. This talk will help CTI analysts, managers, those who report to decision makers, DFIR analysts, and (yes, seriously) even Red Team operators.
