Dissecting the Latest and Greatest Malware Attacks
- Jess Garcia
- Thursday, November 19th, 7:00pm - 8:00pm
The vast majority of the attacks today have a malware component with an increasing degree of sophistication. However, the vast majority of the cyberwarriors don't have the background, skills, or up-to-date knowledge to understand their complexity and stop them.
During his talk Jess Garcia will dissect different modern malware attacks, and will show how the Bad Guys(TM) maximize their effectiveness and bypass our defenses by combining multi-stage payloads, powershell scripting, javascript & mhtml obfuscation, malicious pdfs and macros, exploit kit integration, file-less malware and other advanced techniques.
Jess will also expose the latest tools and techniques to make this analysis possible, giving the analysts the weapons to fight attackers effectively.
