Houston 2015

Houston, TX | Mon, Mar 23 - Sat, Mar 28, 2015

Who is Attacking You and How?

  • Sam Yoon, Systems Engineer, FireEye
  • Thursday, March 26th, 12:30pm - 1:15pm

Sam Yoon will be discussing investigative techniques and IOCs from both endpoint hosts and network traffic to follow the cookie trail in a Incident Response investigation. He will also cover what to do when no malware is used in an attack (which happens in 46% of cases) and using threat intelligence to see who is attacking you to start better defending and uncovering evidence for potential data exfiltration. Using the SANS@Night format, he will show both presentation slides and live demos of industry tools some of which are used in FOR408 and FOR508 classes.
