SANS Technology Institute Reception and Information Session
- Bill Lockhart, Executive Director, SANS Technology Institute
- Sunday, December 14th, 5:45pm - 7:15pm
Open to current and prospective students, as well as graduates of the program.
Join us starting at 5:45 pm for light refreshments. This informal reception will be a chance for current students, prospective students, and graduates to connect with each other as well as members of the SANS Technology Institute faculty and staff. At 6:15 pm, Bill Lockhart, Executive Director of the SANS Technology Institute, will provide an overview of the master's degree and graduate certificate programs, including a description of the courses, faculty, relationship to SANS & GIAC, and the admissions process. After the presentation, we will take and answer questions from participants.
SANS Technology Institute graduate degree programs offer candidates an unparalleled opportunity to excel in the two aspects of security that are most important to the success of their employer and their own careers: management skills and technical mastery.
Over the next 20 years, information technology will become so central to all aspects of our lives, from recreation to warfare, that information security will rise in importance and scale. It will become a profession with more than 500,000, and perhaps as many as 1,000,000, people employed in positions in which they have significant roles in shaping the security of their employers' systems. Those people need managers, technical directors, and chief information security officers who are deeply skilled in the technology and who have excellent management skills.
If you aspire to help lead your organization's or your country's information security program and you have the qualifications, organizational backing, and personal drive to excel in these challenging degree programs, we will welcome you into the program.
If you are not attending the SANS CDI conference but would like to join us for this event, please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can arrange a guest pass for you on that day.
The following bonus sessions are open to all paid attendees at no additional cost. There are many different types of events that fall into these categories:
