Threat Intelligence and Attribution in a Political Climate

  • Robert M. Lee
  • Monday, June 26th, 7:15pm - 9:15pm

The business of security has never been so central to politics and mainstream media as it was during the 2016 election. The topic of threat intelligence and attribution were particularly on display and many technical community members were made a part of the policy process with their assessments. In this presentation these topics will be broken down to help attendees understand how attribution is done and what to watch out for in a highly political climate around security by examining case studies from 2016.
