NVISO SANS Brussels Community Night

  • Monday, January 16th, 6:00pm - 9:00pm

We are very glad to welcome back NVISO once again for the NVISO Community evening. The schedule for the evening is:

18:00 - 19:00 - Welcome & Intro

Sandwiches & Drinks

19:00 - 19:45 - The Security Toolsmith (Didier Stevens)

In this presentation, cyber security expert and malware hunter Didier Stevens will give an overview of his free open-source tools. You probably used one of his many tools, maybe even in a SANS classroom. The main focus will be on the philosophy behind his tools and how to combine their output to achieve greater results.

19:45 - 20:30 - So many ducks... So little time! (Michel Coene & Maxim Deweerdt)

"Threat hunting is time consuming, costly and highly specializedā. The authors of this talk aim to completely contradict this statement and show you that you can start threat hunting with minimal time investment by leveraging free tools / scripts and clever techniques. Expect some hands-on advice and ideas that will enable you to start "hunting-on-a-budget".

20:30 - 21h00 - Networking and Drinks
