19h - 20h - "An introduction to Android malware analysis" by Daan Raman
Malware has been a topic of research for a few decades. Along with users switching from desktop to mobile devices, malware writers have started to dedicate considerably more effort to the development of malicious software for Android. In this technical presentation, we will dive into the world of Android packages and present several ways of analyzing such applications for malicious behavior. Additionally, we have developed a user-friendly tool that can be used to detect Android malware.
20h - 21h - "Patching your employees brain" by Pieter Danhieux
In any security system the human element has always been considered one of the weakest links. Some significant security breaches in 2011/2012 have again confirmed this dogma. This non-technical presentation will provide you with the context and examples on why humans are prone to cyber attacks and will outline an approach on how humans can be educated to change their default "insecure" behavior/culture.
