PCAP Next Generation: Is your Sniffer Up to Snuff?

  • Scott Fether- Master's Degree Candidate
  • Friday, April 27th, 7:15pm - 7:55pm

For years, packet captures have been stored in the PCAP file format. PCAPNG is a necessary improvement, but some information security and networking tools have been slow to adopt the change. This presentation will show why PCAPNG is a dramatic improvement over PCAP, and it will demonstrate how network and security technicians can take advantage of the valuable metadata it provides.
