Cyber Defense Challenges from the Small and Medium Sized Business Perspective

This presentation examines a research survey that was conducted in order to pinpoint both technical and organization cyber defense challenges faced by small and medium sized businesses. Cyber-attacks against SMBs are increasing, what can we do about it? This presentation identifies surveyed challenges and offers mitigation techniques to assist SMBs.
Speaker Bio: Aric is the Director of IT at a community Mental Health organization. For the past 19 years, Aric has worked at various levels in IT departments spanning both the military, DoD, and corporate organizations. He enjoys improving organizations' IT infrastructure and security posture by implementing various best practices. Aric currently holds four GIAC certifications and is a candidate for the Master of Science degree in Information Security Engineering from the SANS Technology Institute.
