Threat Intelligence: Planning and Direction

  • Brian Kime- Master's Degree Candidate
  • Thursday, May 31st, 8:15pm - 8:55pm

This presentation is about a military process adapted for use in the private sector by threat intelligence teams. Intelligence Preparation of the Cyber Operational Environment is a is a systematic, continuous process of analyzing potential threats to detect a suspicious set of activities that might threaten the organization's systems, networks, information, employees, or customers by providing a means of visualizing and assessing several specific intrusion sensor inputs and open source information to infer specific threat courses of action. The four-step process guides the creation of priority intelligence requirements, a collection plan, and an intelligence architecture.
