Call for Presentations

It's that time of year again - it's SANS EMEA's annual Call for Presentations for the ICS Europe Summit 2020!

Next year's Summit will be Monday 8th June in Munich, Germany. We will consider presentations on a broad range of ICS security topics. Preference is given to presentations that are delivered by ICS security practitioners, asset owners, or government agencies. We also look for talk that focus on real-world experiences and solutions. In addition, we also look for talks that provide attendees with actionable takeaways they can apply in their own organizations.

Prospective presenters for the ICS Europe Summit 2020 should provide their submissions no later than Friday 31st January 2020.

Why Present at the Summit?

  • Promotion of your speaking session and company recognition via the ICS website, social media and all printed materials
  • Access to a friendly, supportive environment to develop and enhance your public speaking skills.
  • Complimentary pass to the 2020 Summit

SANS does not cover travel or hotel expenses for speakers, but we do reserve a block of rooms at a special rate. We also serve a light breakfast, lunch, and snacks during the event.

What are some potential topics to present?

This summit is focused on real-world experiences. We want to hear your stories (both successes and failures) about what you did, your action's impact and how attendees can apply your lessons learned.

The talk submissions most likely to be selected are those focused on a specific topic that have a clear, easy to understand description, and have specific action items/learning objectives for attendees.

  • Understanding what an attack against your organization will look like (deconstructing real-world ICS attacks and technical threats)
  • Live attack demonstrations & the defences needed to stop them
  • Case studies and success stories
  • System and organizational investment opportunities that reduce attacker effects
  • Future attack vectors on ICS
  • Mitigations Defenders, governance, and controls
