Think you have innovative cybersecurity skills and ideas to contribute on a global scale? You’re invited to throw your hat into the ring during the Global CyberPeace Challenge – a competition that encourages innovators from around the world to promote peace in cyberspace by solving crucial techno-social issues. Organized by the CyberPeace Foundation and supported by SANS, this virtual event will feature workshops, speakers, and competitions culminating on Safer Internet Day (February 9, 2021), when the winners will be announced and prizes worth up to $30,000 will be distributed.
Registration for the event is open and features three tracks: Cyber Policy & Strategy Challenge, Peace-a-Thon: The Innovation Challenge, and Capture the Flag (CTF). The ultimate objective of the challenge is to identify new cyber talent and to inspire the development of innovative solutions to critical real-world problems.
SANS is participating in this year’s event by delivering an exclusive GRID NetWars Tournament during the grand finale January 28-29, 2021. Fifty top challenge qualifiers from around the world will go head-to-head in a cyber-physical NetWars tournament, to compete for the purse and title of GCC2.0 winner.
Registration for this challenge closes December 15, and all skills levels are welcome. Visit the Global CyberPeace Challenge website now to learn more and engage in this creative and energized community of cyber contributors.
