Cory Steers

Cory earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) from Illinois State University in May 1995. Cory earned his GCFW Gold certification in 2001 (renewed in 2005), his GCIA Gold certification in 2002, his GSEC Gold certification in 2003, as well as his CISSP in 2005. Cory has worked for State Farm Insurance Companies for 12 years. He has spent the last 7 of those years working in Information Security, administering enterprise class firewalls for the first 5 of those years. Currently Cory administers security for over 1800 UNIX servers and provides runtime security policy for the IBM WebSphere Application Server. Cory looks forward to sharing his knowledge and experience with others, and hopes to learn even more from this experience.
