We are proud to be back in the "Big Easy" for SANS Security 2008 with new course offerings, action-packed night sessions, and additional special events. Now is truly the time to fall in love with New Orleans all over again.

The most celebrated and historic core of the city — including the French Quarter, Bourbon and Royal Street, Jackson Square, Garden District, Riverwalk, Audubon Park and Zoo, and St. Charles Avenue - not only remains intact, both physically and spiritually, but is thriving. The cultural riches, sensual indulgences and unparalleled service that define the New Orleans experience continue to flourish, as they have for centuries. The city is open, and eager to welcome visitors again.

It's no surprise that the New York Times has named New Orleans the "Comeback of the Year" and both Orbitz and Travel + Leisure have chosen it as one of their top destinations for 2007.

Come to SANS Security and celebrate for yourself. Attending this event, ensures you the unique, cultural experience only New Orleans can deliver. Even more, it means you are taking part in something important, something historic: celebrating the Rebirth of New Orleans.

New Orleans is a walking city and most of the attractions are within blocks of our training location including some of the best restaurants in the world from the inexpensive to some of the top chefs in the world. Around the corner from the hotel is the world famous French Quarter and Bourbon Street featuring some of the best bars, restaurants, art galleries, and people watching you will find anywhere in the world. In the heart of the French Quarter is Jackson Square which features street performers, live jazz bands, and St. Louis Cathedral. Harrah's Casino which is the world's largest land-based casino is only two blocks from the hotel. You can also board a trolley right outside of the hotel to the Garden District featuring some of the most amazing historic mansions and architecture in the United States.

SANS Security 2008 is once again being hosted at the Sheraton New Orleans right on Canal Street where the cities major attractions are literally right outside the hotel's door. As an extra treat, if you book under the special SANS rate, you will receive complimentary high speed internet access in your hotel room. However, make sure to book with our special group on-line reservation system or mention SANS when calling since this rate is not available to the general public.

Since the class days are so intense we recommend you enjoy a day or two before class starts so you can enjoy all of the sites and still receive the SANS hotel rate. January is an excellent time to visit New Orleans, where the weather is quite comfortable and enjoyable.
