Important Time Information

SANS Secure Europe 2008 - Brussels will run 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. If you are traveling, we suggest you stay in the event hotel, or as close as possible. If you live in the general area, please consider sharing the drive with a friend or co-worker.

Coming from France
E19 - Paris => Mons => Brussels
Take exit Brussels ( Anderlecht).
Headway direction Brussels-Centre.
Once you reach the Brussels Inner Ring at the Boulevard Poincare / Poincarelaan or at the Avenue de la Porte de Hal / Hallepoortlaan, turn right and continue straight ahead.
Follow direction Tunnel and exit at La Cambre / Ter Kameren.
On ground level, at the Place Louise / Louizaplein, turn to your right onto the Avenue Louise / Louizalaan.
After the second set of traffic lights, turn right onto the Rue du Chatelain / Kasteleinsstraat. MCE is located in the third street to the left.
Coming from Germany
E40 - Cologne/Liege => Brussels
Leave the motorway following the indications Communaute Europeenne / Europese Gemeenschap.
You will end up on the Avenue de Cortenbergh / Kortenberglaan leading to a round-about (next to the European Berlaymont Building), where you take the second street to your right (Rue de la Loi / Wetstraat).
Arriving at a major crossroad with the Boulevard du Regent / Regentlaan you have two options:
  1. Turn left joining the Brussels Inner Ring. Within the third tunnel, take exit La Cambre / Ter Kameren. Leaving this tunnel, immediately take the first exit to your right to join the right hand lane of Avenue Louise / Louizalaan. After the second set of traffic lights, turn right onto the Rue du Chatelain / Kasteleinsstraat. MCE is located in the third street to the left.
  2. Follow the right hand lane next to the Inner Ring until Place Louise / Louizaplein. Turn left onto the Avenue Louise / Louizalaan. After the second set of traffic lights, turn right onto the Rue du Chatelain / Kasteleinsstraat. MCE is located in the third street to the left.
Coming from the Netherlands
E19 - Breda => Antwerpen => Brussels
From the Outer Ring, follow direction E40 LUIK/LIEGE, NAMEN/NAMUR
Leave the motorway following the indications Communaute Europeenne / Europese Gemeenschap.
You will end up on the Avenue de Cortenbergh / Kortenberglaan leading to a round-about (next to the European Berlaymont Building), where you take the second street to your right (Rue de la Loi / Wetstraat).

E19 - Breda => Antwerpen => Brussels
Take exit Zaventem, direction Brussel/Evere.
Pass NATO HQ on your left. At the end of this road, turn left and follow the indications Communaute Europeenne / Europese Gemeenschap (passing through Square Montgomery / Montgomery Plein, whereafter you will drive through two consecutive tunnels).
You will end up on the Rue de la Loi / Wetstraat.
Arriving at a major crossroad with the Boulevard du Regent / Regentlaan you have two options:
  1. Turn left joining the Brussels Inner Ring. Within the third tunnel, take exit La Cambre / Ter Kameren. Leaving this tunnel, immediately take the first exit to your right to join the right hand lane of Avenue Louise / Louizalaan. After the second set of traffic lights, turn right onto the Rue du Chatelain / Kasteleinsstraat. MCE is located in the third street to the left.

Coming from the UK
E40/E17 - Oostende/Lille => Gent => Brussels
Take Exit 21: Koekelberg.
Follow direction Brussels-Centre (along the Avenue Charles-Quint / Keizer Karellaan).
At Koekelberg church, join the Brussels Inner Ring (tunnel).
Continue and take exit La Cambre / Ter Kameren within one of the tunnels.
After leaving this tunnel, take immediately the first exit to the right to join the right hand lane of the Avenue Louise / Louizalaan.
After the second set of traffic lights, turn right onto the Rue du Chatelain / Kasteleinsstraat. MCE is located in the third street to the left.
Parking

Parking is available in the basement of the MCE building. Access is from the back of the building at n*15 rue Armand Campenhout.

Arriving by Air
Taxi service
The MCE is about 35-45 minute taxi ride from Zaventem National Airport. Taxi fares range from 40-45 Euros.
Airport transfer service
MCE offers you the possibility to reserve your personal pick-up service at the price of a normal taxi. If you reserve this in advance your driver will be waiting for you upon your arrival. The fare from the airport to your hotel in Brussels Hotel or to MCE is EUR 40. The return fare is EUR 37. Fares are payable directly to your driver (credit cards accepted).
To submit a reservation, visit www.mce-ama.com, at least one working day before your pick-up date. A confirmation will be sent to you as soon as your booking has been processed.
Arriving by Train

From Brussels Midi/Zuid or Brussels Centrale stations to MCE takes about 15 min. by taxi or 20 min. by public transport.

Arriving by public transport
From Brussels Central Station
Take bus no. 60 (estimated time 30 min ) and ask the driver to stop at "rue Americaine". You get off at a square which is surrounded by trees called Place Alb. Leemans. From there, MCE is within walking distance.
From Brussels Midi / Zuid
Take metro line 2, direction Simonis, and stop at the 3rd metro-station "Louiza". From here you can take a tram 93 (direction "Marie-Jose") or tram 94 (direction "Wiener"). Both trams follow the same route. Get off at the 3rd stop - Av. Louize / Rue du Chatelain. From here you can walk to the MCE building.
From Brussels Midi, you can also take tram line 81 or 82, direction "Montgomery" (estimated time 20 minutes ). Get off at la Trinite. From here you can walk to the MCE building.

Accommodation for Students With Disabilities:

SANS Institute is committed to assisting course participants subject to disabilities. SANS will provide the following at no additional cost to the employers of participants with disabilities: an additional seat in the classroom and an additional set of course materials for Auxiliary Aides and/or the course notes in computer-readable format, as requested by the participant's employer. The employer of the participant shall be responsible for all other costs of any necessary accommodation, including arranging and paying for Auxiliary Aides. The employer may call 1-301-654-SANS(7267) to request that SANS Institute make the arrangements for Auxiliary Aides and bill the costs to the employer. It is the responsibility of the employer to confirm with SANS all such arrangements at least four weeks before the course.

CISSP Members:

CISSP members may supply their CISSP ID# and SANS will submit a request to CISSP for the attendee to receive credit for CPEs earned. There is a blue box below the payment section on the registration form to enter your CISSP ID#.
