Amtrak
Amtrak offers a 10% discount off the lowest available rail fare to Orlando, FL between the above dates. Includes travel up to three days prior to the convention start date and three days following the last day of the meeting.

When making your reservation a 10% discount has been approved. Conventions cannot be booked via Internet. This offer is not valid on the Auto Train and Acela service. Offer valid with Sleepers, Business Class or First Class seats with payment of the full applicable accommodation charges. Fare is valid on Amtrak Regional all departures seven days a week, except for holiday blackouts.

Directions from Orlando International Airport
  • From the airport, take the South exit.
  • After 4.2 miles, the 417 South (Central Florida Greenway) exit appears on the right (this is a toll road which will cost a total of $2.50; please have exact change as there is no attendant at the final toll booth which is $.50).
  • You will stay on the Central Florida Greenway (417) for 18.2 miles.
  • There are two exits: the "Epcot® Center/Disney Village" exit (#6) and the "Magic Kingdom/Disney's Hollywood Studios™" exit (#3). Take exit #3 (which is called Osceola Parkway).
  • At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn right (West). Continue on this road and you will soon see the Walt Disney World signage.
  • After you pass under the WALT DISNEY WORLD archway onto Disney property, you will turn right at the first traffic light onto Victory Way
  • Continue on Victory Way until the second traffic light. Here you will turn left onto Buena Vista Drive
  • Take Buena Vista Drive to the second traffic light and turn right onto Epcot Resorts Blvd.
  • The entrance to the Swan will be the first driveway on your right.
  • The entrance to the Dolphin will be approximately 1/2 mile past the Swan on the right.

Important Time Information

SANS 2010 will run 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. If you are traveling, we suggest you stay in the event hotel, or as close as possible. If you live in the general area, please consider sharing the drive with a friend or co-worker.

  • All full day courses will run 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Security 401: MANDATORY Bootcamp Sessions will be from 5:15 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on course days 1-5.
  • MGT 414: MANDATORY Bootcamp Sessions will be from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. on course days 2-6 and from 5:15 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on course days 1-5.
  • SEC606: MANDATORY Bootcamp Sessions will be from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on course days 1, 2, and 4, and from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on course day 3.
  • SEC606 class times:
    • Day 1: 9:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - (lunch) - 1:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Accommodation for Students With Disabilities:

SANS Institute is committed to assisting course participants subject to disabilities. SANS will provide the following at no additional cost to the employers of participants with disabilities: an additional seat in the classroom and an additional set of course materials for Auxiliary Aides and/or the course notes in computer-readable format, as requested by the participant's employer. The employer of the participant shall be responsible for all other costs of any necessary accommodation, including arranging and paying for Auxiliary Aides. The employer may call 1-301-654-SANS(7267) to request that SANS Institute make the arrangements for Auxiliary Aides and bill the costs to the employer. It is the responsibility of the employer to confirm with SANS all such arrangements at least four weeks before the course.

CISSP Members:

CISSP members may supply their CISSP ID# and SANS will submit a request to CISSP for the attendee to receive credit for CPEs earned. There is a blue box below the payment section on the registration form to enter your CISSP ID#.
