- Over the past several years, government organizations have rapidly technologies to improve service delivery to their citizens. However, governments have moved into this new era of "digital government," to balance the complicated issues of privacy, security, and freedom information has become extremely complex. Due to the type of maintained by governments about its citizens, digital government contribute to the growing problem of identity theft. Sensitive information deemed difficult to attain from a government is often now readily anywhere in the world, via the use of a simple web browser.
