Dear Colleagues,
It is our privilege to invite you to Network Security 2007, September 22nd-30th, in Las Vegas!
This event is a great opportunity to sharpen your skills, and it offers training and other opportunities that are simply not available anywhere else:
- NS2007 is the only event where the top-rated system security teachers in the world, like Ed Skoudis, Mike Poor, Eric Cole, Jason Fossen, Stephen Northcutt, Joshua Wright, David Rice, Dave Hoelzer, Chris Brenton, and Hal Pomeranz will present their latest courses. You just cannot find SANS-level teaching anywhere else.
- NS2007 classes address the actual problems security professionals face today. We have invited presentations only from people who have solved real-world problems and who will present "proven" solutions.
- In addition to being seasoned professionals, SANS faculty members are extraordinary speakers. They bring the knowledge to life, with real world stories, and enable you to leave with the knowledge and confidence to go back and put the new things you learned to work right away.
- Not only are the NS2007 instructors first-class, but so is the hotel! This year we return to Caesars Palace, one of the best facilities in the country to host a major training event.
- An extensive Vendor Tools Expo & Reception will give you a chance to see live demonstrations of cutting-edge technologies. There will also be numerous Lunch & Learn presentations and Cocktail Briefs to help you find the right mix of tools and solutions for your company's unique challenges.
- The people you will meet at NS2007 will help you build a network of skilled technical people, people who can help you when you need it. NS2007 provides plenty of networking opportunities to help make sure you meet the right folks. Valuable professional relationships are forged at SANS events that last for years.
People who have attended past Network Security and SANS security training events say that they are the best they have ever attended. Some examples of their assessments:
This course has valuable information that can be implemented immediately in the work place.
- Christopher O'Brien, Booz Allen Hamilton
The quality of teachers, speakers, and even attendees is far superior to any other training event I've attended.
- Corinne Cook, Jeppesen
SANS provides by far the most in-depth security training with the true experts in the field as instructors.
- Mark Smith, Costco Wholesale
A First: Integrated Cyber Exercises at NS2007
As a special bonus, selected students will participate in the inaugural Capstone's Integrated Cyber Exercise (ICE), a war game in which students test their skills in simulated real-world conditions. A seasoned hacking team will be attacking the student's network and systems. The students will receive both individual and team scores. The Capstone's ICE is a milestone in SANS quest to ensure GIAC certifications demonstrate an individual actually has the knowledge, abilities, and skills to do the job. Even if you cannot participate in the marathon, it will be great to watch and there will be live commentary by none other than Paul Asadoorian from PaulDotCom.
Start making your plans today to join SANS in Vegas. I look forward to meeting you there!
