Important Time Information

SANS London 2009 will run 09:00 - 17:00 If you are traveling, we suggest you stay in the event hotel, or as close as possible. If you live in the general area, please consider sharing the drive with a friend or co-worker.

  • All full day courses will run 09:00 - 17:00.
  • Security 401: MANDATORY Bootcamp Sessions will be from 17:15 - 19:00 on course days 1-5.

Arriving by Air

ExCeL London is easily accessible from London's five main airports - London City Airport, Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton - via underground and mainline rail services.

London City Airport (LCY)
Located just five minutes away, by car or taxi. Offering over 200 flights a day and providing access to over 23 European destinations. There are frequent shuttle buses from Canary Wharf and Canning Town direct to and from the airport.
Heathrow Airport
Take the Piccadilly Line to Green Park. Change to the Jubilee Line (eastbound) and at Canning Town change onto the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Custom House for ExCeL.
Gatwick Airport
Take the Gatwick Express to Victoria change onto District/Circle Line (eastbound). At Westminster change onto the Jubilee Line (eastbound) to Canning Town. From here, change for the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Custom House for ExCeL.
Stansted Airport
Take the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street and change onto the Central Line (eastbound). At Stratford change onto the Jubilee Line (westbound) to Canning Town. From here, change for the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Custom House for ExCeL.
Luton Airport
Take the free Luton Airport shuttle bus to Luton Airport Parkway station to catch a train to Kings Cross St.Pancras (around 35 minutes). At King's Cross change onto the northern line (southbound) to Bank. From here, change for the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Custom House for ExCeL.
By Tube and DLR (Docklands Light Railway)
  • The Jubilee Line is recommended as the quickest route to ExCeL London. At Canning Town change to the DLR (upstairs on platform 3) for the quick two-stop journey to Custom House for ExCeL Station (not King George V).
  • ExCeL London is located in zone 3 and London Underground tickets are valid on the DLR. Its recommended that you purchase a return ticket or an All-Day Travelcard to avoid queuing on your journey home.
  • Trains from Tower Gateway go direct to Custom House for ExCeL.
  • When travelling from Bank on the DLR change at Westferry for a Beckton bound train.
  • When travelling from Lewisham take a Stratford train and change at Poplar for a Beckton bound train. Alternatively take the first Bank train and change at Westferry.
By Car
  • When driving to ExCeL London follow signs for Royal Docks, City Airport and ExCeL There is easy access to the M25, M11, A406 and A13.
  • ExCeL London offers car-parking facilities for over 4,000 cars. It is recommended that you pay for your parking before leaving the centre at one of the many pay points located in the Boulevard. These points accept both cash and card. Alternatively you can pay for your parking at the car park but please note that these pay points only accept payment by card.
Accommodation for Students With Disabilities:

SANS Institute is committed to assisting course participants subject to disabilities. SANS will provide the following at no additional cost to the employers of participants with disabilities: an additional seat in the classroom and an additional set of course materials for Auxiliary Aides and/or the course notes in computer-readable format, as requested by the participant's employer. The employer of the participant shall be responsible for all other costs of any necessary accommodation, including arranging and paying for Auxiliary Aides. The employer may call 1-301-654-SANS(7267) to request that SANS Institute make the arrangements for Auxiliary Aides and bill the costs to the employer. It is the responsibility of the employer to confirm with SANS all such arrangements at least four weeks before the course.

CISSP Members:

CISSP members may supply their CISSP ID# and SANS will submit a request to CISSP for the attendee to receive credit for CPEs earned. There is a blue box below the payment section on the registration form to enter your CISSP ID#.
