Wouter is a senior information security manager assisting organizations mainly in the financial services, energy & utilities, and government sectors. Wouter's areas of expertise include technical information security assessments and security architecture and design. He also has extensive expertise in incident handling and computer forensics.
Wouter translated his interest in Information Security into a Master of Science degree in Information & Communication Security from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Scandinavia's largest technical university. He wrote his thesis for Microsoft, where he was involved with the integration of the Belgian Electronic Identity card middleware with Windows CardSpace. In addition to his work, Wouter participates in several professional organisations. He is an advisory board member for the SANS Institute, a member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Australian Information Security Association (AISA) and Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Alumni.
