My-Ngoc Nguyen (pronounced Menop Wynn) has been in the Information Systems and Technology arena for over 12 years with the last 8 years focused on IT/IS Security. Her experience includes leading and managing teams within fast-paced, diverse environment for both the public and private sectors. With her B.S. in MIS and current efforts in a dual MBA/MS MIS degree, she leverages her business and IT/IS skills to manage cyber security programs that will not only meet the intent of the regulations but also the spirit. My-Ngoc believes in out-of-the-box thinking that will allow for security to enable business processes with a defense-in-depth and risk-based approaches. Currently, My-Ngoc leads and oversees the government cyber security practice at Link Tech, LLC (dba Link Technologies) to not only secure the corporate IT environment, but also provide security solutions to a broad range of clients, Department of Energy being the main due to her strong and deep knowledge and experience within the agency.

My-Ngoc is an active member of various organizations such as SANS Advisory Board, Infragard, etc. She currently has the GCIH, GPEN and CISSP certifications and is pursuing a dual masters degree at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

Throughout her profession and the involvement with various organizations, My-Ngoc has presented and provided user training regarding IT security and related fields on many occasions. She is excited to be mentoring these classes as a means to spread the knowledge she gained as a previous student.
