Hacker Guard is placing your offensive teams in a position to inform defense through technical security awareness training for privileged users. SANS is providing these privileged users the skills necessary to detect breaches on a network through base lining and making security apart of their every day job responsibilities.

Once a APT or threatening breach has been discovered, this information is provided to the incident response team for further mitigation and remediation if necessary.

Some of the quick wins of the Hacker Guard program are as follows:

-Immediate detection of existing and potential breaches once class is completed.
-Helping privileged staff understand security is everyone's responsibility, not just incident response/infosec.
-Understanding your external exposure, configurations & risk. Through the actions of your users.
-Defining the insider threat and how to detect, immediately. Realizing hackers don't use exploits to compromise your network.
-Prep for internal and external audits.
-Efficiently using staff resources since there are typically more privileged users than security staff.
-Realizing AV, IPS and IDS will not prevent a breach. Hacker Guard provides 11 hands on labs to assist in the detection of potential breaches which can be automated.
-Continuing education built in quarterly within the program, latest threats to be informed.
-Available for local instruction or webcast. No travel or time out of the office for your staff.
