SANS is once again pleased to partner with ITWeb in bringing SANS courses to South Africa. We have two 2-day training courses taking place directly after the Security Summit 2013 conference, providing delegates with exposure to the latest information security courseware and internationally accredited SANS instructors. The two courses on offer are:
- SEC440: 20 Critical Security Controls: Planning, Implementing and Auditing
The 20 Critical Security Controls have already begun to transform security in government agencies and other large enterprises, by focusing their spending on the key controls that block known attacks and find the ones that get through. The automation of these top 20 controls will radically lower the cost of security while improving its effectiveness. The US State Department has already demonstrated more than 94% reduction in "measured" security risk through the rigorous automation and measurement of the top 20 controls.
- SEC:571 Mobile Device Security
This course is designed to teach students about the threats organisations are exposed to via the mobile devices on which they depend. This two-day, hands-on class uses lecture, labs and real world experiences to educate the students about mobile security within the enterprise.
