Tim Harwood is the founder and Managing Director of HS and T Consultancy which specialises in security awareness and training. He has managed the design and delivery of bespoke security awareness and security training for the UK Critical National Infrastructure ICS community in partnership with CPNI and before that was the Security Capability Lead for BP for 8.5 years. As the lead he was responsible for the career development of the security professionals in the teams as well as the security training and awareness. Prior to that, Tim was in the British Army for 23 years, primarily as a military policeman. He finished his career as the Senior Data Manager at the Central Criminal Records and Intelligence Office. On leaving the Army Tim went to work as a consultant for UK Government working on a software design and implementation for UK Police Forces. Tim is a full member of the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP) and has contributed to various awareness raising publications including one from ENISA. Tim is an instructor for the SANS Institute, teaching MGT433: Securing The Human: How to Build, Maintain and Measure a High-Impact Awareness Program. In his (ever decreasing) spare time, Tim likes to raise money for charity by completing long distance trail running events (including twice running 100km in just over 17 hours).
