Dear Colleague,
SANS is bringing the most advanced intrusion detection class ever taught to Bridgeport, West Virginia, on December 3-8!
Security 503: Intrusion Detection In-Depth focuses on increasing your understanding of the workings of TCP/IP, methods of network traffic analysis, and one specific network intrusion detection system - Snort. Our objective is to help you understand the qualities that go into a sound network intrusion detection system and the whys behind them, and thus, to be better equipped to make a wise selection for your site.s particular needs.
This course will be taught by a top security practitioner with years of experience in the industry - Lorna Hutcheson. Formerly an Army Military Intelligence officer responsible for providing Intelligence and Electronic Warfare support, she currently serves as a SANS Course Content Director and volunteer incident handler for the SANS Internet Storm Center. To learn more about Lorna, please visit our SANS Bridgeport 2006 Faculty Page.
Developing a solid understanding of network traffic analysis and intrusion detection is essential in the best practice of information security. Join us in Bridgeport for training that will not just tell you, but more importantly, show you how to analyze known and new intrusion patterns. Remember - with SANS training you'll be able to apply what you learn in the classroom as soon as you return to work!
This is one of SANS most popular classes, so register early while there are still seats available!
