SANS @Home, awesome! Not like being there, but almost better, you can look up sites as people share or the instructor shares, and bookmark them! - John Cahill, Piedmont Natural Gas

SANS @Home Requirements

SANS @Home classes are now being taught using Elluminate Live! software to create a virtual classroom for the students and the instructor to "meet" in.

The software is Java-based so it will work on multiple platforms such as Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris, etc. It requires you to have the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) software installed on your computer.

If you would like to try out the software and see what the virtual classrooms will look like prior to registering for a SANS @Home session, you can go to Elluminate's web site (http://www.elluminate.com) and go to their support page (http://www.elluminate.com/support/). If you do not already have JRE installed, this page will offer you a method to download and install the software.

If you would like to listen to a 5 minute recorded session for an overview of being a participant in an Elluminate session, you can listen here (https://www.elluminate.com/site/pmtg.jnlp?psid=d120010780.194302).
