National Conferences

SANS National Conferences draw a large paid attendance, with a seemingly endless selection of coordinated speakers and activities. The two-day vendor expositions are held during the early part of the week and include various activities and sponsorship opportunities. It is the ideal way to connect directly with a highly targeted group of security and network professionals who want to learn about events shaping our industry.

In addition to receiving high-quality SANS education, attendees are evaluating and making purchasing decisions on new products and technologies to bring to their own organizations. The vendor expos can help shorten the buying cycle by being there, with the decision makers, and showing them all about your products and services.

SANS WhatWorks Summit Series

These very popular Summits allow us to focus on critical topics where our community is spending money to solve their security problems. Recent topics included SCADA, Log Management, Application Security, DLP and Mobile Encryption.

The format of these Summits brings together industry experts and security leaders and gives them an opportunity to exchange ideas during presentations and Q&A discussions. This format makes it possible for IT security professionals to hear security leaders who have gone there before to talk about solutions to problems, and the obstacles they had to get past on their way to finding a solution. In addition to End-User presentations there are also several vendor panels where important product features and directions are discussed.

No vendor sponsorship opportunities will be available if you are unable to provide customers for the program and work closely with us on marketing the program to your database.

SANS Buyers Guide for INFOSEC Professionals

Available now!

We are pleased to announce the addition of a new resource for members of the SANS community. The SANS Buyers Guide for INFOSEC Professionals was developed in response to feedback from attendees and alumni seeking guidance when identifying product and service providers in the broad information security market. Different from other directories and industry guides, this buyer's resource is structured around the SANS "Defensive Walls" model. Vendors are placed in the guide according to their product's focus in helping to reduce or remove risk from these commonly referenced areas of vulnerability. Providers listing with SANS can incorporate links to their latest white papers, web casts, and conferences to create a unified message regarding their brand's thought leadership position and physical location at industry events and exhibits around the world.

Promotion and awareness are the key goals of the SANS Vendor Directory and participating vendors will benefit from an "always current" posting of contact information and marketing activities viewed by the most qualified audience of information security decision makers and influencers in the industry today.

SANS Research Programs

SANS Analyst Whitepaper Program
Getting a whitepaper published is probably on many of your to-do lists. Whitepapers, which are a staple of todays technology marketing mix, are difficult to organize, produce and target effectively. SANS experts create whitepapers that have a powerful, independent voice in the market. Papers are published on the SANS website and can also include a pre-publicized webcast. Whitepapers cover a range of topics: market pain points, how-to help, security issues, product issues, technology tests and comparisons, SANS independent surveys, checklists and more.

*A final white paper price is established with the vendor once a detailed "Statement of Work" has been written and the scope of the project is agreed upon.

Whitepaper Supporting Webcast
Most SANS whitepaper customers also want the optional webcast component built into their plans. This is a great vehicle to get the word out to hundreds of prospects. Most of our clients schedule the accompanying webcast, which announces the results of their whitepaper, to coincide with a specific marketing or PR event. And once completed, the archived version of the webcast will continue to generate visibility and leads for your organization. These webcasts typically see a live audience of 300-700 and can generate 200-400 qualified SANS community leads.
